Lake House Coffee & Café at 2666 Jordan Lake Street, Lake Odessa, Michigan.

This place is what a coffee house should be: a good variety of different coffee drinks (with non-condescending help in learning the difference between lattes, cafes au lait, etc.), light lunch and breakfast items, and fresh, well-made baked goods, all offered at fair prices. The furniture and decor have been chosen with care and a sense of beauty, the tasteful background music doesn't intrude on conversation. The whole place (not to mention the view of the lake) invite patrons to linger and enjoy, and this is totally okay with the helpful and personable staff. The only drawback is the somewhat limited hours; I suspect that as this place gets better known, this will change. In short, a small-town treasure.
